If some players have fog often and others no fog at all, maybe is biome specific.
I am not sure where I would settle, because no fog at all or 7 days fog are both bad.
The problem I have with it is it seems much more likely to trigger in an artificial manner when you're exploring new areas.
env clear = clean air
env -1 = resets environment back to system defaults.
I agree. The fog and such drastically adds to both the atmosphere and immersion in general.
As for artificially happening.. I'm not sure; maybe.
@OP: wait until you get to the Mountains.. snowstorms are much more frequent than fog. :)
Also a Frames per second killer near any fire.
Generaly fog is anoying to me only when i go look for new land as you may end up hitting the coast of plains and get killed by a moskito. So its a waiting game.
Mistlands should be even more foggy and part of mehanic when new patch hits.
Personaly i will take a fog over the rain.
The game goes thru cycles, simulating weather of course, clear day, rain, wind, thuderstorms and lighting and fog make the game immersive/alive and what it is. Just keep going about what your doing, I do. rarely ever do I allow any weather to mess with what I am doing, either sailing or building and fighting, in fact some of my most favorite combat experineces in Valheim is in the plains at night with fog and or day time with thick fog, sailing during this time also is really cool.
That should do nicely thanks. And thanks for all the comments. Perhaps it might be because I use mods. Which does have a remove fog command but it doesn't work and renders console commands not to work in game. But it does seem everytime I am going to build something the bank of fog suddenly appears and when I say thick I cannot place one stone on top of the other as visibility is 0 .
