Easy Lox farming
Use arrows. When they get close just jump on them and ride the hump. Shoot down towards the head. If it rears up just jump and try to land on it again to avoid getting tossed. If fulings happen along just ride the lox and let it hit them. Only thing to avoid is 'squitos, but the bow can block them, and you can shoot them too. If you are the sort to really want to go toe to toe, jump on and walk off the rear backwards, they can't attack at all in that direction, and if you use a weapon like Frostner it slows them and you can just walk to the rear constantly getting free shots.

Yeah, I've been able to find them near the biome border in several places. Jump up on a rock, and shoot arrows. Even the basic starter arrows (8 wood) will do.

No way you are killing a Lox with 8 wooden arrows.

I simply use bonemass power and hack them quickly.
interesting method though OP, out of the box :)

I just stand on a rock and shoot. Arrow quality is irrelevant since they cant hit back if youre elevated.
There is an even easier and more efficient way tho..
Just parry their attack and smack em XD

I like to use Obsidian arrows at range, then switch to blackmetal atgeir when they get close. If there's more than 1 pop bonemass and go to town.

Wow cool idea, I always forget you can jump on enemies, I will try this. Once i was able to sneak up to a lox do secondary attack with porcupine and than smacked it to death before it got one attack off, made me 😊

Stuff like this is always subject to other stats, e.g. type of bow and archery skill.

Well, if someone has that much power in their shooting, they wouldn’t need to hide up on rocks, like the person who claims to use 8 wooden arrows :)

For me I'm addicted to hunting Lox at night with fire arrows. The only thing more intoxicating is snorting the purple haze of a 2 star Fuling popping while a shower of gold coins falls around you.

IDK I use frost arrows and it slows them down enough you don't have to avoid them at all... just wait until they are close to finish them off so you don't have to run too far to collect the meats.

Hmmm even easier is hitting the first attack with a needle arrow ( or use them until get closer ) then change to silver or blackmetal shield and FANG SPEAR full lvled ( is stupidly cheaper to do ) , parry these bulky guys and u can make them 400-600 damage ( 4spear hits ) until lox attack again if has HP to do it
The pickaxe thing take double of time to kill them , using arrows can be easy but take time too

Why would you need to slow them down?

They are easily kitable and have horrible patching. Can just stand and shoot them most of the time. Just need to run a little to keep distance if they get close enough to attack...

The hard part in lox farming is finding them, as you can't breed them.

That is my point honestly... with frost arrows you don't even need to kite them or move... just slow down shooting enough to let them get close ha ha

I guess it comes down to what skills you have worked up etc. To each their own!
