Terraforming is still a mess (became even worse)?
Im standing on stonebrick - i try to get a smooth edge to the connecing terrain so i can just walk onto the stonebrick without jumping - not possible
Raising and lowering the terrain to the proper hight of the brick doesnt work - fix this please - this was better before! This should work out of the box without major fiddling and tinkering around!
If it was the arguement of smooth, round terrain - ok, but even that is not possible - why not give us a tool where u can set the radius and BAM terrain is smooth and round again without sharp edges

Also why do we have to go through major preparations for the foundation of a building - we have to make sure the elignment of the terrainedges fits to the edges of building we want to create otherwise u will often run into quite some problems later on - this SUX big time.
Why reinvent the wheel when other games do this properly? (7daystodie)

First off, you simply level the ground and drop a wood floor plank. Place your stonebrick against it and it will be perfectly level.

Second, if you want to suggest a fix, do it in the right forum rather than just whining about it in the General Discussions area.

Raising the ground has no connection to the building materials. They aren’t going to “fix” it so your level of land snaps to your walls.

Yep, they should really take another look at that. When you raise the ground it's really hard to do that without those sharp edges if you don't want to make it mega wide xx.

nope it doesnt
i build a brige across a gap, fit the stone to the wood, placed myself on the stonebrick. adjust terrain - terrain is to low or to high - this is major BS

Yes, it does. I just tried it.

Sounds like you need to spend a little more effort on planning and layout. Again, if you have a suggestion besides spouting about how things SUX big time and are major BS, you could find a constructive way to do it.

Thats the point, i shouldnt have to go through major preparation and fiddling around just so a little edge somewhere doesnt fit to the block that i just build - and what i build there isnt even anything complicated, its just a little bridge over a gap and it doesnt work like it should

Ive been playing this game since early release and this has always been an issue. You have to level, then raise, then level, then sometimes raise again to blue your foundations. Its stupid.

"This should work out of the box..."

A rather interesting declaration about a game still in development; the 'box' has not even been made yet.

And to assume because a game mechanic does not fit 'your' idea of how it should work in no way means it does not work (especially given that many players seem to be able to use it with little issue).

I am sure you realize the game developers have said this was never intended to be a 'building' game so perhaps the mechanics in game now are all the developers felt were needed to assist a player's progression.

As others have said it is probably best to make your observations and suggested fixes in the proper forum and who knows, maybe we will see some changes as the game develops.

Not a building game, but Hearth and Home is first up for updates.

Not only a building game but a building game nontheless. People that are sticking to the game from the start are people building stuff.

What I do is get it close and then build stairs at the edge. They will mostly just disappear into the ground, but will make it so you can walk straight across things without manually jumping.

Yes, I do this too... It's an acceptable workaround for a problem I'e had since the beginning.

The way you raise and lower terrain now is horrible. They were better off just leaving it alone to begin with, imo.
