How do you all transport silver hauls off mountains?

The three options I'm aware of are:

Real Slow
Cheat
Kinda Daft (Booting carts and boats down giant ramps / over cliffs)

I'm leaning towards #3 unless anyone has a sensible middle ground approach?

I personally just make an outpost in the mountain on a cliff or near a big drop off

Now that is an inspiration. Small building built out over a sheer drop, hole in the floor, shallow pit dug into the ground directly below. Ore doesn't suffer falling damage, right?

Ore does not take any fall damage. Only way you can lose it is if it falls into water or ocean below how far you can dive.

Though making a sheer drop can be a bit difficult since terrain has a set lowest point it can go. If you do have a very nice cliff side naturally on your mountain, you can dig out the base a bit and make a catching area, then safely throw the ore down and it'll slide into your catching area.

Step 1: Scout out a number of veins.

Step 2: Use a nearby abandoned stone building to build a small base; bed, fire, portal, chests, basic supplies.

Step 3: Mine the silver and store it at the outpost.

Step 4: Build a cart and load all the silver into it (preferably at least 300)

Step 5: Chuck the cart off the mountain.

Step 6: Follow your cart down and then take it to your nearby boat.

Step 8: Load up your boat.

Step 9: Sail home.

Step 10: Profit.

Build a small house, build a portal, transfer all crafting stations, craft everything I need on site and pack up and portal everything back to main base when finished.

I think it's fair to claim V+ as a potential forth way, given its infinity of config options.

Carry it by hand to my outpost nearby, flatten ground to mountainside, build a cart, fill it up and then yeet it off the edge. Rebuild it at the bottom and drag it to my longboat.

I loaded the first batch of silver I gathered into a cart then tossed it down the highest point of mountain. It kinda worked.

Before I finished the game (such as it is so far), I wore a Megingjord and kept my inventory as small as possible, then hauled it load by load down to my base, no carts and to boats. As this wasn't all that far given that I built my base in the starting Meadow and there was mountain within a two minute walk tops, I didn't see it as a problem.

Now that I've done everything but tame animals, what little I mine of anything I jump to another world, store it, jump back to the characters world and use the portal to her main base, then retrieve the ore from the alt world. Having finished the storyline anyway, to me this is just eliminating meaningless grind. Anyone who disagrees is welcome to play whatever way they want to and I hope they enjoy themselves.

Repair cart.

By foot and leave the cart at the bottom. Find a silver vein that is easy to access. Generally, go for a larger mountain as you can find more veins to consider a path down.

Definitely going to build a dunny over the abyss whenever I find a good cliff though.

I think it's cheating. You think it's cheating. I'm not going to assume he does as well until he says so. (hell I think Teleporters overall are cheating and ruin the game & lore - but game's not finished yet)
