Stone towers make perfect outposts
Has anyone else been turning the stone towers into outposts? I have done that with 4 of them now, i build them up, platform on top with a portal..working out great. Would be better we we could transport even a small amount of ore

apparently you don't watch a lot of "lets build" vids on youtube .... many have been using the ruined stone towers in the mountains as bases or outposts

Mostly use them for cheap lean to camps. Four roof section, a wall, campfire and bed and good for a nap.

If you use core wood to make a cross on top you can easily double the floor space. We been making bases out of these for a while. Also nice to make a base on top of the monolith like stone slabs on the plains.

They wont protect you from trolls. Their club swings right through the stone wall. Make sure you build some other defences.

Yeah I set up maintenance towers when I find a decent one so while I'm running around I can always repair my stuff, get my buffs, drop stuff off, and hit a portal. I only convert the ones near good resource locations or waterways but I set up a firepit and workbench in all of them.
