lost all my gear

hi
5 days ago i was playing with my friend on his server, and i logged out normally and didn't play for a couple of days, then when i logged in again i have found that i have lost all my gear i didn't have anything on me at all. ( when i logged off my friend stayed for a while and he didn't see me die or anything).
now the weird thing is that i tried looking for my gear and didn't find anything, so i took some gear from him and we played together as usual, i logged off normally and tried playing today, but when i logged in today i didn't find any gear as well ,the gear that i took from my friend disappeared as well, did someone have this issue before and is there a fix?

Question, did your friend have Valheim Plus or other mods loaded on the server? If so, it's possible that your gear was in extra slots that didn't carry over to an un-modded game. This sounds very much like something that happened to me, and it was mod related.

Ive heard from few people that this happened. Mostly happened on some dedicated servers

he didn't have any mod installed.

This is relevant to me as well. My Friend made me get the extra slot mod but now that i am on my laptop all my characters were naked! the important question is will i get my gear back once i switch back to that compuer?(or downlaod extra slot here aswell)

if i am not mistaken, it is not a dedicated server. ( i can only play when he is online, so he is the host)

Unfortunately anything in those extra slots will probably be gone...

But what you (and OP) can always do is use the console to replace anything lost. That's what I did when it happened to me, took 5 minutes.

are u talking about the mods ? cause i didn't use any

I had a character roll back to a previous respawn on a vanilla server, effectively deleting my inventory. It was a client crash an hour or two after that death, in the same play session. Nothing like it has happened since.

are u talking about the mods ? cause i didn't use any

the console command, lets you use "cheat" codes for a variety of things including spawning any item you want. It's part of the game, not a mod. Click the guides tab above, the very first one is a console tutorial.

It early access, I've lost my gear due to bugs with disconnections before (though not normally just random disoconnects) and I just created a new world to cheat my items back in. Theres no shame in cheating in items lost to bugs imo.
