Best overall meele weapon ?

When i say overall im talking about crush any creature from plains to swamp easily
Because there are some tanky or special one with resistance like golems ( getting well damage from blunts only ) and loxs ( getting well damage from pierce only )
Seeing every silver-bm tier weapon looks like the porcupine goes well in this : with their 50 blunt damage and 63 pierce damage can wreck any monster : everything in swamps and mountain can fall with just the blunt damage , here the pierce damage gives good help
And everything in plains can fall with both type of damage , lox gets good damage from pierce type but very little from blunt

I was thinking about silver and blackmetal swords but golems and loxs gets little damage from both

And maybe best transition weapons are :
Iron mace for swamp to mountain
Silver sword or frostner for mountain to plains ( frostner have much knockback making annoying to make combos but helps in every biome less against loxs )
To fight bosses :
Bonemass - iron mace ; very weak against pure blunt damage
Moder - draugr bow with obsidian or needle arrows ( duh )
Yagluth - silver sword or crystal battleaxe : he takes normal damage from slash and the spirit burning damage make his regeneration not a problem

I use crystal battleaxe the most now with stamina reduction for weapons.

You can pretty much just Aoe the mobs down and stun larger mobs with middle mouse.
Loxes are best to tamed and killed by a knife (if you go for damage)

Nah , takes far less time hunting them to wait the breed thing , them spawn a lot if you scout a little a good plain biome , there is not stared lox so tame them for food is loosing time that i dont have

For myself I prefer the "The Porcupine" as an all around melee weapon, but sometimes you just need a fast sword. The frost hammer "not sure what its name is" is good too! I used it primarily on the goblins.

Frostner, porcupine, or Blackmetal sword are my go-to weapons.

Honestly the Axes to start is good as you have a tool that is a weapon. The Mace I find is good on Skeletons and blobs etc but the axe is very effective by that point on both.

The only reason to use the mace really is to have the skill for Bonemass

i use Frostner or 2h hammer vs bonemass. silver sword\blackmetal sword vs yagluth, draugr's bow vs moder(not melee though).

so i'd say most op melee is probably a sword (fast enough attack, good damage and you can pair it with shield). 2nd place is frostner(especially vs bonemass\yagluth) and 3rd is crystal battle axe(you can level axes easily while chopping wood, so it's a good fit)

Best weapon is Hammer.
No, not the 2h hammer, the 1h hammer. Enslave your enemies.
But really they are all great if you're dealing the weakness.
Most underrated thing will always be using the lowest tier weapons for training purposes though, has anybody else actually figured this out yet?

for me its knifes fast and high rate of stun
its like - once locked my enemy will fall quickly

Depends a little on skills, but for me it’s currently this order:
Porcupine > Black Metal Sword > Frostner > Silver Sword

As usual, draugr fang with needle arrows for pierce-weak, porcupine for spirit-resist but blunt-neutral, Frostner for spirit-weak and blunt-weak

I pretty much just use a bow and club combo the entire game and it's only mildly a problem when I've just started black forest and am dueling a troll

Imho there is absolutely no "best weapon" in the game. It's all about how you like to play, each weapon has their own style to fight.
Unfortunately most of the weapons are useless and only few are actually good when you have all the end game gear available.

Best overall meele weapon is definetly diamond knife. Without doubt. So go for it.

Fists... cant beat fists... sorry to say.. 100 skill in Fist.. works awsome going to plains and KO up some Goblins :D

Im talking about the weapon that exploit weaknesses and break resistances for all
And looks like Porcupine do the job in every biome with every mob , but its not good against yagluth
