Mining copper bronze pickaxe bugged?
I've noticed mining copper with a bronze pickaxe yields less than the antler pickaxe? Is this intentional, am I wrong, or am I just unlucky?

Copper nodes yields between 0-3 if I'm not wrong. could be just bad luck

I have gotten 4 with the antler, I consistently get 1 with bronze.. Weird I'll try more

My bronze pickaxe is worse than the antler as well, the ♥♥♥♥?

I most likely think you are unlucky. you should get the same amount with both pickaxes, but the bronze one does a little more damage and has much more durability (especially upgraded).

This is my thought as well. The map generator will create nodes of ore and that can be harvested at a min-max independent of tool, the quality of tool just shortens the time it takes to collect it. Does this make sense? Yet I feel.... Antler one gives more of a yield.. With copper haven't tried anything else yet

I seem to get slightly more with the copper pick. I suspect it's simply RNG, though, and it's just luck that I'm getting a few more now.

yes, u are mining faster, and no, amount is equal, around 90 copper for a hole spot.

Did you look at the code cause I sure as ♥♥♥♥ didn't, seems logical though

I think it makes sense. Better tools are more durable and allow you to clear a spot with less hits required because of the higher damage.
With the amount of stuff you need, I think it is an useful investment.

Btw, since you are on bronze tier now, my personal advice would be stay with the troll armor until you unlock the next one. The bronze armor doesn't feel good enough compared to the troll one if you take the -10% movementspeed from the bronze one into account.

Exactly.. I just... Can't shake the feeling you know? Maybe they added a clause in the game that to lessen the grind the antler pickaxe harvests more to lessen the grind or something. Again, I'm talking out of my ass.

Thanks mate, yeah the 10% movement speed isn't great, especially since most attacks pre-bronze tier can be dodged by just walking away saving that precious stamina

tier 3 bronze have 12 armour tier 2 troll 8 ,4 points is 25% more armour seems worthy that 10% of run speed i think ...

I thought the antler pickaxe would or might give a better return because it came from the first boss. I'm going to make a bronze pickaxe and take both along to see if I notice a difference.

25% more armor seems nice, no need to discuss this. But on the other hand, you require alot of bronze and the 10% movementspeed are noticable. Besides that, the Bronze armor is much heavier than the troll one, which means less mats you can carry around.
So irt is, at least for my personal feeling, better to invest in the troll armor, ignore the bronze one and directly switch for the iron one. here you still got the problems mentioned above, but the armor gain is much higher.
Sure, you will need to be a little careful in the swamps with troll armor, but unless you have problems with dodging/blocking and don't forget to prepare well food/potion wise you should be able to survive until you get the iron stuff.

Hmm with my knive i get the same amounts as with the picaxes.
SO i doubt that there is a difference (yes MY knive, not yours :greenrollball:)

The biggest difference between bronze and antler with no upgrades is how many hits it takes to break something. Antler is easier to repair on the go and upgraded bronze lasts longer. Until your mining skill goes up around 50 the amount of hits to break a piece of the node is usually outweighed by the ease of antler pick repair.

I've read more than a few posts recommending to skip the bronze pick because it makes no difference at the iron level. I can't say their advice is wrong.

The copper drop is straight rng. Just dig deep using what you see on the surface as a guide to where to dig deeper at. Sometimes the radius extends further as you go deeper, but the copper drop is straight rng.

My average per node is usually around 3 to 4 stacks.
