Building?
I'm hesitant to even ask for help. But how tf does work? :x Building a house in this game requires a degree in architecture or something? Guess this game also requires an IQ higher than an inbred dickwad.

Check out any number of guides on Youtube. There's this whole integrity system that's based more around "how many building parts you are from the last piece of foundation" rather than actual architecture.

It only looks complicated at first, also you don't need to build any masterpieces. Take the small abandoned buildings as an example of how to build a small hut. Just experiment a bit with all the building pieces and you will soon find out it's not that difficult.

just put a square over a square. If you can make a square house, you can make a triangle tip house. Triangle houses requires even numbers of square in order for it to be a triangle.

Unlike Ark buildings, you can actually add more stuff to the same connection parts to make it look fancy.

For me the hard part of my starter house was finding a flat space that was big enough to build a 3 x 3. Once you have a little hut and a roof over your crafting table you can make the hoe, which allows you to level ground to build on.

You can also find one of the random broken building spawns to get you started as well. just repair it.
Oh, make sure that if you have your campfire inside, you leave a hole in the roof for a vent so you don't suffocate from the smoke :steamhappy:

Chimneys are vital. The smoke mechanic is way overdone. Any viking going out and collecting wood to burn that gives off this much smoke deserves what they get. Pure, dry wood gives off no smoke. It's the moisture, molds, fungi and other impurities that smoke up.

I don't know what kind of wood you're smoking dude... but that's just incorrect. There's smoke coming out of my wood burning stove at this very moment, and I don't remember putting a smoke machine in there...

Now tell us, dear sir, where there is pure dry wood anywhere in this game?
