This... do not go into the Swamp Biome with out it.
This is a survival game... which means you are meant to prepare... either suck it up, like a buttercup, or prepare...
Also, if you're not just standing on land and putting a couple arrows in them and are trying to melee them instead... Bad idea.
"You gotta be prepared for that biome you arent trying to go through and had no idea it was there, bro bro SUCK IT UP"
You are having a hard time, we get it. this is a common PEBCAK error.
Thats clearly shown on the minimap, CLEARLY, shown... as black... lmao, the enemies are different... the environment is different... this is a STRONG PEBCAK error here.
Well, playing the way that gets you killed isn't exactly a great idea. And you can see blobs from miles away, especially at night. They glow green.
It sounds like you just got swamped (heh) by too many baddies at once and the thing that happened to do you in was a leech. It happens. Doesn't mean anything needs to be made easier, especially since there are already solutions in the game.
No, i agree, they are for you, to get silent praise, for being terrible, at an already EASY game, so the Dev's, can make this into an Idler, ohhh yes, i get it there bud.
Sorry, but you are the Error there buddy, get better, and prepare... its a survival game.
You can absolutely circumvent going through swamps! You choose both your route and your destination! And if either of those involves a swamp, a stack of poison resist mead is indeed worth an inventory slot! Alternatively, you can bring a great many arrows and ensure you never get melee'd by a leech (which never leave the water) or a blob (which have very slow and predictable movement).
Preparation and planning is extremely important in this game, and the swamp does its best to teach you these virtues before you enter the next few zones.
