"Go onto another seed"
It seems a lot of the advice in this game for some of the trickier problems is "go to another seed".
About to die? GO to another seed, heal up, spawn back ready for action.
Dragon egg problems. Use the other seed exploit.

Is it just me or is this not cheating? Why not just cut out the middle man and go the whole hog and start changing the settings in the console?

devs designed the game to be like that

you can't move resources throught portals, so in order to transfer them to base you need to logout and enter different world (the world with base and chests), once you store stuff you logout and go back to gathering world and continue overweighting yourself with puny stack of 1 resource

It's a mechanic they put in the game; you can play any character on any world at any time. It's not cheating, it's the way it is.

Eh, people play how they like. That ♥♥♥♥ sucks the fun out of the game for me. But I did use it once when the game teleported me into the sky upon login one time. Thought I was falling through the world, so I banked my stuff on another world to make sure it wasn't irretreivable. Handy to have for early access bugs atm if nothing else.
Also, don't log out inside caves, kids.

If you want the real experience, oplay death is death with no Cheese.
All between that and god mode with all stuff for free is a decision, you can let the developers take for you or decide yourself (so far you can change the things)

1. It's not cheating if it's part of the rules
2. Yeah I don't know. Only command I've used is save and have been on 1 seed the whole time. People don't have much willpower. You can tell by the amount of complaining.

Everyting you do that fits not to the lore is cheesy, even respawning, no matter if it is part of the lore

If you can respawn so often you want the difficulty of the game is exact ZERO.
Even a ape would win a game he cant loose

Respawning fits the lore just fine tbh. Death clouds your memory some more, causing skills to deteriorate, but you're in an afterlife, so I mean respawning isn't that strange.

Personally I view it as a cop out and negates the challenge from the game so I don't do it(except a few times when I had to replace a friend's gear because his tombstone bugged out and deleted itself or fell through the world). I couldn't care less what people want to do with their own games though if they would rather jump seeds to make things faster on themselves.

Doesnt change that with respawns you play a game you can never loose

I do think it's a pretty lame excuse people give themselves. "It's possible so it's not cheating". This is also why people want the game made easier in various ways, so that they don't have to use the console commands and can tell themselves that they're not cheating.

The game is easily playable and beatable all while never changing seeds. I don't care how people play their version of the game, but I do think it's a little sad that they usually can't acknowledge to themselves or others that they're more interested in finishing the game than in actually playing it.

Technically you can get trapped in a perpetual, hellish cycle of eternal loss.
But I mean, Odin's got a mission for us. And we ain't allowed to leave til we achieve it. :)

Not everyone enjoys traveling for long amounts of time with nothing to do in the meantime. I love it personally, but holding it against people that don't is silly.

I simply could smash my keyboard into my monitor when my char slows down because he has no stamina.

I play for fun, not for pain

I think it depends on the player. Personally, I do consider it exploiting a game feature, but thats me.

Do whatever you find most fun imo. Some people want to see all of the PvE without playing for 100+ hours and I completely understand that.

Just have fun in whatever way you want. Huzzah sandbox games. For me it will involve roads for transport routes, outposts and secured landings on the far blue shores.

To quote a favorite book series by Brandon Sanderson...

Journey before Destination
