Its atrocious, and yes i know deer make noises, most certainly not a noise that sounds like a human being making a dog whining noise

I had a big post about whitetails all prepared with videos of the various sounds, but it does sound a little like some of the northern european deer. They definitely do not sound like whitetails.

agreed this game has some really annoying sound effects, everything is too loud in general and loops WAY to often, rustling grass, barking deer, necks etc. the more i play the game the worse i react to it

All these years of hunting deer I had no idea they made half of those noises.
