How to generate light in dungeons besides a campfire?
Title, I tried throwing my torch on the ground but that didn't work.

If you find the trader you can buy a helmet that lights up the area in front of you. Other than that torches. Not sure if you can build standing torches in a dungeon, never tried.

The torch goes in your main hand [if no weapon readied prior] or your off hand [if you already have a weapon readied] and will provide light.

you just right click the torch or set it to a hot key.

There is another option if you find a trader.

I usually just fight with a club and torch in dungeons.

The difference between "illuminated" and "dark" is so small that I simply run through without a light.

I don't use a light source either. It's dark but really you can still see.

wish I knew where the trader was... I guess I'll just keep relying on campfires for now
