Suggestion: Stone Ceilings/ Roof Tiles
Kinda sad I cant make a fully stone Castle/Hold because the build system wont allow Stone walls to be used for a ceiling so I'm forced to use thatch roofing as usual.

You can use the stone-floor, they count as a ceiling (used in my castle)

You can use stone arches to hold them in place, it's tedious but doable.

The stone floors do count as a roof at least for fire/hearth and workstation purposes. They also count as shelter/rest. I am using all stone floor ceilings in my 3 story main base and 1 story portal house.

EDIT: You must use the iron posts from the floor and carry them up to where the ceiling stone connects.

Build better. Use Iron Posts and Stone arches to 'take the weight', so to speak.

Here is the beam layout I used for my 7x7(interior) 8x8(exterior) portal house.

Just wait.
The first update will implement new food recipes and building pieces.
However, they are currently fixing bugs and seem to not have started developing the roadmap updates.

While I appreciate the snark this isn't exactly a small build.

The sheer scale of this building doesn't allow for that. I've tried Iron Posts but then I wind up with a castle filled with poles.
