Can Greydwarfs just Stop?
For like, five minutes, is all I'm asking.
Five minutes of NOT getting harassed the moment I try to exist.
Five minutes, where I can actually use my tools to try and progress, and not have to eliminate them again and again.

I haven't had much of an issue with them spawning excessively. I've also noticed that when mining if you dig down a level or two they tend not to want to step down and come after you into an area that they can't walk up without jumping.

Seen similar behavior when mobs spawn inside abandoned stone towers that don't have steps to the doorway. They'll stand in the doorway swinging but won't step out.

+1
its gets too repeditive spoils game play somewhat and why bother doing anything if one gets attacked all the time if thats not enough then the Forest is Moving happens.
Full on attacks.
Everytime a boss is killed it increases.
I suppose if some players find the fun in this game is meant to be just hack and slash defend and attack all the time so be it but the game could use a difficulty selection option imho
I prefer to have free time to enjoy the inviroment and explore build some cool lodges for fun.
It's the worst feeling ever when I have to pick up yet another greydwarf eye

Here's to hoping they'll be used in more recipes down the line.
They're ok I usually scrape them of my boots.

i have never despised an enemy more than these. Dealing with them as a solo player is the worst thing imaginable
Still better than having to deal with overly-aggressive AI in Ark, but still annoying.
What Graydwarf Eyes Are For
Upgrades, like the Copper Dagger takes some Greydwarf eyes.
The Portals and other stuff.

You simply leave your base or spawn in a new world, just to be overwhelmed by these little ♥♥♥♥♥.
Yeah, they are annoying and imo the spawn rate really needs to be toned down a large amount. I go out to mine copper, hit the node 2-3 swings next thing I know I have 5+ greydwarf type mobs rushing me, kill those, start to mine, another 2-3 swings, oh look, 5+ more of them. repeats over and over, The problem is it happens to often with too short of a interval in between them. Its really annoying when you have a cart as they will follow you literally everywhere till you stop and kill them. I get activity spawning mobs but it shouldn't be every 1-2 minutes after you just killed a pack.

This. 100% this. Just maybe 5 mins MINIMUM between spawns. Progressing is just annoying at this rate. I can't even build in the meadows because it's too close to the Black Forest border. I don't mind the enemies but stagger them at least. Please.
Ii was expanding the outer wall on my base a while ago, cutting trees, digging etc etc. They just kept coming. I would stop, one shot them with a sword and get on. It got so annoying I ended up F5ing ghost so I could work in peace.
This is all very amusing. Put up a simple defense (raised walls/palisade) and get your workbenches scattered about to push back the spawn areas. Once you have a reasonably secured base you won't care about the grey dwarves and many other mobs. Except them trolls, they're always a threat, but with a good raise earth wall around your base and no structures right up against it, even trolls will be a minimal or non-existent problem. Base building is part of the game, make a secure base and most threats you won't even notice.

Can you please point to where that is?
Because right now... it's ALLLLLL Greydwarfs.
They're talking about the bits that are even more Greydwarfs than that.

But honestly, islands. Islands are super peaceful.

The issue isn't base defense though. It's when you're out and about gathering. Literally can't get 3 swings into mining a copper deposit without Greydouche and his posse roll up on me ready to throw hands (and rocks). Like all I'm saying is give me a at least a FEW minutes to mine in peace!! Lmao
