I can NOT FIND the merchant

One seed that has been discovered with a guaranteed merchant not too far from the spawn location is 42069lolxd. If you head south-east from the spawn point, follow the coast, then cross into the Black Forest, you should find Haldor nearby on your map. You can just about make it here from the start if you run and avoid Greylings along the way.


Otherwise... for me: I finally located the one in my world in about hour 96 when I can say I spent about 10 hours actively sailing island to island looking... and over around 30-40 hours on the ocean exploring.

Took me 70 hours of general gameplay and resource gathering before I found him on my map. I could have cheesed it but that's not my style. (Good luck to those that do though)

As for the merchant, I am sure he is hiding in one of the many, many Black Forests generated.

You haven't gone South West at all. Try that direction.

Keep checking the Black Forest areas. Found him a fair jaunt South West of spawn along the coast.

I'm 152 hours into my main world and STILL haven't found him. I just went to the world seed shown above to buy stuff from him, and brought it back to my world.

The merchant is usually lie in between the border of Black Forest and the Swamp.

i know you can see him about 2km away but HOW FAR is that on this map? there really is no area of distance

Its actually only 320m, some guy here did a testing and discovered this.

Sorry - I wasn't very clear in my post so let me try again LoveLessAeris:

You just need to create a new world - pop 42069lolxd in as the seed - and you can follow the thread I listed to look exactly where... but it's: head South and East from the starting point about 10 mins walk if you don't want to look.

I know it sucks... and I get it... so you can either use a seed - or wait 90 hours until you find it in your own world.

(I ended up with roughly 4k coins in raw coins and loot I sold when I ended up using the new world seed for the merchant.)

Hopefully this helps and solves your issues!!

you can use the trader in the otehr seed to trade with.
your inventory is saver per character not per world.
so take your valuables, save.
go to he otehr world with seed
do you trade
go back into your own world. with your new traded items.
