Ground Shaking ( Not trolls. Let me explain )
This is my 3rd day ( irl ) playing Valheim, im just now getting around to taming Boars and smelting ores. So, anyways, my point is: There are these rock formations, that kind of look like a throne or seat of some sort. In front of them, there is ALWAYS a weird looking black rock. I got gold off of them once, so just a few minutes ago I decided to mine it. The second I started hitting this black-ish rock, the entire ground started shaking. Im in Meadows, and im not far enough into the game for a troll attack. After I destroyed this rock, it just stopped. Anyone know what this is, or did I just discover some new feature???

Hmmm

You may have found something, I havent messed with this rock you speak of as of yet...

However it could be a coincidence, as I do know that Large Tree's will make the ground shake when they Grow up to be big tree's from a seed.....

I get the ground randomly shaking during movement all the time. Usually it's scaling up or down a steep part of ground.

Screen shake is (mostly) an indication of you or something else making noisy/noticable actions, that likely to bring the attention of monsters around.

Well, nobody else is in my world at this time, and it kept shaking even AFTER I moved away from the rock. So, I hit it a few times, the screen started shaking after about 2 hits ( Also the rock gave off yellow numbers. Not sure what that means, though. ) After it started shaking, I got scared and thought there was a troll, so I ran. It continued shaking. When I saw no troll, I finished mining it, and as soon as it broke, the shaking stopped. Could this be some unknown mob of some sort?

Yea, but this was in the Meadows. Completely flat, and where there are hills its not steep enough for me to slide

The first time I found this weird formation ( Its all over the areas i've explored ) I found gold sitting on the black rock in front of the 'throne.' When you guys see this next, destroy the black rock and tell me if anything happens. I might have found something

Not sure if related but had text something like you said "The ground is shaking" and my near base was marked for attack with red circle and it spawned 2 trolls to attack me, that's why the ground was shaking. Too bad I was out of arrows so I just kited them and tried to get trees to fall on them

Yea, thats the troll attack. But this didnt say anything. No message, no attack circle, nothing. Just this one, ominous, black rock that got mad when I hit it

Oooh, this seems interesting. I have not stumbled upon this yet. When you say gold, you mean gold coins or ingots?

Gold coins. I wasn't even aware there is a gold ingot. This was the first time I found them, right by my spawn. I can go try and find another for an example

Dunno, seem like some sort of a bug with physics of falling objects. Not sure what are the formations you're talking about, there are burial mounds made of stacked stone, which may have bones and sometimes some treasure hidden under the rock in the middle, but those never caused any such shaking when mined for me.

The yellow numbers simply mean you make bonus damage from the weapon/damage type you're using. The opposite of that is grey text, which means your damage type is inefficient against the target.

No, like, this formation im talking about is 4-5 rocks, and if you look at it at the right angle, it kind of looks like a stone throne. There is ALWAYS a weird looking black rock somewhat in the ground infront of these formations.

No gold ingots that I am aware of. I just thought maybe you stumbled upon the treasures of treasures and could turn the gold into coins. Though now that I think of it, gold coins are easy to come by so the ingot thing would be unnecessary. Meh, don't mind me. I am just thinking out loud. Anyway, if you find out more, please share!
