Cheats ruin the game

I had so much fun playing this game but as soon as I found out that you could cheat it ruined everything. Don't get me wrong, I know that I just could play without using cheats. But going going on a journey to gather some metals which takes hours isn't as much fun when you know you could just use a console command to spawn it immediately. Totally takes away the pleasure of gathering ressources. It just seems a waste of time...
Please remove the option to cheat/hack or at least make it visible somehow that someone cheated/hacked, so that I have a motivation to play legit.

cheats exist in everygame, whether it is done through a outside application or through console commands the option is there.

Think of it more as a debug than cheat given the current state of the game

Why would you "punish" everybody else who doesn't have this struggle for your lack of self control? Just don't cheat and you're good. Alternatively create a cheat world and a non-cheat world or play with some friends who would know if you cheated just by the speed of your progress.

i think its simple, Don't use cheats so you can enjoy the game, or use cheats and ruin your experience with the game. that's your motivation.

Nobody owes you any motivation. You already should have motivation to follow the game rules, and the lack of that is your personal problem.

I think OP has a point if somebody else cheats in his server or a server he is on. That I can understand, but then, kick or get out yourself and it is sorted.

I know there are cheats, but I haven't used any and don't intend to. I've died plenty when playing solo, spent loads of time to accomplish little or nothing, and had numerous setbacks. Just because I could cheat my way out of all that doesn't mean I want or need to. However, I'm not some kind of purist who thinks no one should have that option if they desire it. How much other random players cheat has no impact on my enjoyment of the game.
