Cant use floors as roofs.
I built a house and cant sleep in my bed because i made a flat roof using floors ffs and my house doesnt count as shelter

Yes, floor is not roof. Use roof for a roof. That is how the game works.

Nope. You can simply add poles to the corners of your building and add the roof pieces over those. That would give you an open platform on top of your building to stand on, while also being roofed.

Anything not under a roof will decay to half health as well.

Rough wood planks will have gaps and let water in. Thatch is layered to keep water out.

yeah I think its a bit weird also. especially since when you advance further to stone you CAN use the stone floor as a roof. I cant for the life of me want to put on a thatch roof onto a castle so that part I am happy with. Would like more options besides thatch for roofs tho.

As long as it has "Thatch" in its name, it works as a roof. I don't think it would make sense to have a horizontal thatched piece, since the water would still only drip under for not dripping down an inclination.

Flooring is for feet, you gotta use the roofing. Plus flooring will decay some from water damage and it will get soggy / leak.

Yeah i just didnt understand how it worked.. it makes sence to me now. i like the building very much
