Transfer World save files between users?
Can it be done so people can exchange who hosts the same world. Like when one host has to go and sends the file to another so everyone can stay on... without buying a server or hosting an actual server?

The world save files are located at: "C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds"

it can be done, you will have to go to the save fold and copy the most recent version over to your friends computer and have it overwrite the old one. Probably create a few backups each time incase someone messes up but no reall mechanic to make this happen you will have to do it manually everytime.

scrap mechanic had this same issue, which is why my friend and i stopped playing it. I found last night that there is a dedicated server tool you can download, but you would need a second pc to run it daily to solve the host problem from what I understand. But i have little to no experience with that so trial and error.

If you'd rather go through that instead of getting a dedicated server, then yes it should work just fine. Characters are separate from the world so there should be no problem with playing hot potato with the world.
