Should one abandon his original seed
So the title of that post might sound more philosophical/weird than it actually is.

I'm slowly realizing my actual seed, the one I spent maybe 15 hours on solo, running day and night to explore, sucks massive troll doodoos. Huge ass meadows, not a swamp in 3 days running (this was the "starting swamp' seed from the wiki. Those bastards lied to me.), etc etc.

Considering barely anything useful ever respawns in this game, and we're all abusing our seed's resources like a forest company in Brazil, when is it time to tell ourselves : okay, this seed is garbo, I should move on.

I keep seeing these posts about marvelous seeds "all 17 different biomes in your starting area want to talk to you" and I'm wondering : should I move to a better place or should I sail for weeks and explore the 93% remaining unknown lands in my giant ass world ?

Anyone else finding himself, herself or itself in this predicament? Have you come up with an answer?

I started a seed and it was really crappy. So I just loaded up my person and started a whole new world. The next world wasn't much better so I tried a 3rd. I liked it and then I decided to keep it and try one of the recommended seeds. I like it too. So going to keep them both and go back and forth between them if I need to.
