Freezing
Is there a bug when using the wolf fur cape - sometimes it does not work; I climb up to a mountain (I've been there before) and I start freezing even when i have the fur cape on - I'll have to come down and stop the game and start again, so usually this helps...

Being wet denies frost resistance.
Guess that's what happened.

Make a fire in the mountains to dry off

If you go from another biome where it has been raining, and walk into mountain-biome it will give you the "wet" effect for 2 minutes which in this case makes you freeze even tho you have frost resistance. However if you were to NOT have frost resistance the dmg taken by the freeze effect is SIGNIFICANTLY higher!

You can also just bring a frost potion. Drinking that will also stop the damage when wet and in wolf/lox.

What armor do you have under the cape?
Wolf armor chest is really good
It is a wolfskin jerkin, warm and wild-looking. It protects against the cold.
Crafting recipe is unlocked once you've discovered Silver, and the Wolf pelts and Chain.
It is crafted at the Forge.
wear it with>
The Wolf fur cape grants Resistant vs. Frost, which protects from the Cold Effect and the Freezing Effect, allowing the player to walk within the Mountain biome without taking Frost damage. >>>This effect does not work if the player is wet.

yes, if you are wet it will not work.

Thank you for the answers, I was wondering if being wet could have that affect - now I know, and will be prepared!
