Seeking ancient seeds

Do greydwarf brutes actually drop them? Because I've wasted a while wandering around in the woods hunting them with nothing to show for it except more eyeballs than I ever wanted.

Spawners are definitely the best way to get them.

There'll likely come a time you throw stacks of them into the ocean to get rid of them

do brutes even drop eyeballs? Most of the ones I see only drop the seeds wood and dandelions etc.

Of course I was looking for eyeballs for portal mats ... maybe that is the difference, the game knows what you want ha ha

Yeah, I've found two spawners so far and I don't know where to find more Black Forest to comb through for a third. Between sailing off to find another forest that maybe has one (I didn't find any in the first three black forests I explored) and wandering around the woods at night with barbecue sauce on, the latter seems a little less annoying for the one last seed I need.

The shamans have a chance of dropping it. I recommend you not to destroy the spawner. You can make it into a stone and wood farme later.

You wouldn't have to mine or chop down trees. Just collect the drops.

Brutes will show a green ancient seed growing on their head, kill it and you will get a ancient seed.
