Is the Banded shield better than the Bronze buckler for parrying?
Title. I'm not interested in defending, just parrying bonus with a sword or dagger.

The bronze buckler has a 2x parry bonus whereas every other round shield has a 1.5x parry bonus

The 2x parry bonus means its not an automatic upgrade to banded with 1.5. If you skill up in block, you can sustain it until the mob can penetrate the block component. Then you would be better with a banded. Can't say which mob that is though as block skill is an addition to to block value.

At least I think that's how it works.

Thank you for the repplies!
Yeah I don't think the parry bonus matters than much if they can punch through the block value on your shield. I've found that upgrading to higher tier shields is the way to go, but I am certainly not an expert at this game and there could be something I'm missing.

I would like to see a smaller iron shield, maybe slightly less block but higher parry bonus. I like the look of the smaller buckler type shields.

For parrying? Depends on the upgrade level.

Parrying is determined by: BlockPower * ParryBonus. Parry Force just determines how far they get knocked back and imo, is more detrimental than anything else.

Unupgraded, they're tied.
Rank 2, Buckler wins out.
Rank 3, Buckler wins out.

But keep in mind, they're both very close and if you fail a parry timing, the Banded Shield will be better.
