Farming Flax?
I learned the hard ways that Flax can't grow anywhere else than the plains, losing my first half stack of it, so I built a fenced in field in the plains, complete with spikes outside to defend it abit, my flax was healthy, I leave for abit, half hour maybe, I go to double check that my Flax is good, and it's just gone. I read that the goblins can maybe spawn still in places like that, but there weren't any around, the door was shut, no damage to the walls, my Flax just disappeared and that's another half stack gone. Am I missing something with Flax?

No if you're in the plains they should grow normally unless you planted them too close to each other. If you've been used to gardening turnips and carrots though that shouldn't be the issue for you.
I've had fuelings attacking my barley and flax farm but they only destroyed a couple, AND nothing can attack your base when it's out of rendering range, if everything is gone it's either a bug or your game rolledbacked to a previous save I think

I would suggest you do what I did, find a nice little plains island and workbench everywhere to stop spawning.

I planted them much the same I do turnips and carrots, which grow fine for me back at my main base. Do they say if they are planted to close? They only said they were healthy when I left them.

Don't think there was anything involving a rollback save, I never logged out and I'm not playing on an online server.

I mean I guess I'll try to make a safer spot if possible, I heard fires also factor into spawning around, I just figured I'd ask before attempting this again, though this time I'll just test it with one or two, and not the whole 20 I get from a camp.
