Does weather destroy structures?
I built a deck and a dock, and it keeps getting damaged, but I don't understand what's causing it.

Yup, when it rains. You need to cover it with roof.

Not exactly... rain seems to weather exterior parts of a building down to 50% and then stops. But that's all the further it goes.

Hopefully that's something they consider changing in the future, or adding treated lumber or something. Having a dock is neat. I guess for now I'll live with it at 50%. Thanks.

Ya in a way it kind of sucks... I see some peoples frustration with that when building around water like you said. But also get what they're going for. But maybe they will come up with a better solution in the next patch which is about building. It also might be that we all have a long way to go and this is the basic first building stuff. Maybe there's going to be way better stuff like treated lumber in the later game.

For the parts submerged in water (like pillars) you could use stone. And then roof over the flooring like previously mentioned.

Good idea I'll try that on the next build and make a dock with a roof maybe.
