Can't find Crypts???

Not sure if it's a bug or not yet so we'll see, but has anyone else had swamps with absolutely 0 crypts?

We've been to maybe 4-5 different swamps around the map and we haven't seen yet a single crypt in the swamps...

yes, it's random, I have had seed where around 7 swamps were 0 crypts, no matter the size, both big and small ones ;-;

first 2 swamps i found had none, some had like 2/3 really close so it depends

Smaller swamps seem to have quite low chance of having crypts, so I guess until you find the right one you'll have to keep searching... The first i found had a couple, then I hit the one and found almost 30 once scouted fully. Can provide map and seed in case you want to go the easier way

Its all RNG, but you need to find bigger swamps to guarantee many crypts.

My seed has a swamp with 76 crypts in it.

Seed # 32

I never even needed it, there is a smallish decent swamp one island east with crypts.

"#32" or just "32"? Yeah i could check on valheim-world.map but i don´w wanna spoil myself by seeing the whole map.

I am in need of a new world due to the same problem. Got enough on my other playtroughs but now i am kinda stuck.

for me it took a 2 or 3 rounds of logging in and running around an empty map to locate.
id get bored of looking after about 30 minutes or so of running around and just log off lol

has one swamp with lots of crypts avaible without boat, pretty long walk and small swimming parts too tho
and one swamp that is closer to spawn and has no crypts

the one with crypts is in the top-left side of starting island

How far awey from center spawn have you travled OP, in my experience the further awey from center you move the more chance of Crypts and ores spawning in Swamps, Mountains and Plains.

TBH the "small" biomes that will spawn close to start are all empty and the only reason they are there and close is for you to get "easy" entrails and turnips.

Ive had 2 sawpms with +10 crypts, either the swamp is full of them or its almost empty

I am in need of a new world due to the same problem. Got enough on my other playtroughs but now i am kinda stuck.

just the number 32 all by itself. Its a really great seed actually with a big meadows to start, a big black forest all around, a mountain range on the main island (have not explored it fully yet) and, of course, a huge swamp for more iron then you will ever need. A smaller island directly to the east has enough iron to get you sorted though.

Seeing how this topic somehow came back alive, I'll update everyone.

We travelled to maybe 5-7 swamps before we found one huge swamp with a good 5 or so crypts in it, whereas the others did not have a single crypt.

i feel ya right now i'm working on getting iron and i've gone through 4 swamps with only 1 crypt so far. the little mud piles outside of a crypt are so rare and hard to find. one i did find was magically next to a plains biome and i got 2 shot by the little bastards there
