Mouse cursor lock

So I am trying to play this game but my mouse cursor does not stay locked in the game and will just select something on my other monitor and defocus the game. I've tried this in windowed and borderless fullscreen since this game does not seem to support a dedicated fullscreen.

I managed to get it to work. After you make sure all peripherals are unplugged try going through and resetting the controls in the menu. After that I restarted the game and it finally locked my cursor.
One or more of these steps might be redundant and you may just need to reset the controls but i haven't tried just doing that.

If I unplug all peripherals, I literally can't control anything on the computer at all, what kinda vague statement is this?

This issue makes the game unplayable to me for now..shame.

Go into ~\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\valheim_Data, right-click boot.config and choose to open it with WordPad.
Now add these lines (they have to be at the top):

gfx-enable-gfx-jobs=1
gfx-enable-native-gfx-jobs=1

Then open Steam > right-click on Valheim > Preferences and add this line to the startoptions:

-window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen

Now start Valheim, set the ingame option to fullscreen.
Press ALT+ENTER once, and then one more time.
Now it will be in fullscreen with optimized settings.

The core issue seems to be that the game stays in menu mode sometimes even when you leave the menu.

alt enter twice should put it in exclusive full screen mode with the -window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen launch parameters
