Hook on Sacraficial stone won't accept Deer Trophies. Can't summon Deer Boss...

Can someone in detail... very specific detail... explain how to perform this summoning? I have Deer Trophies, I put them in my hot-bar slot, walk up to the deer stone, use the "E" key on the hook, and it says I am missing a component. What am I doing wrong?

You are not supposed to use trophies on the stones, you are to use them on the summoning altar. Use the vegvisir to get the location.

You've got the wrong stone. Right next to the hook is a rock you can interact with to tell you the location of the actual summon for the boss.

The hook is where you mount the bosses head, after killing him.

the hooks on the spawn area stones are for the boss heads , to summon the boss you have to find a diferent sumoning altar/location
eikthyr looks like some sort of stone ritual place with a deer on the lore tablets that sais he who hunts his kin

Look on your map for the horned head marker you were given when you started the quest chain. That's all the detail needed.

I have the boss trophy, but it won't place on stone where I spawned in.

Never mind; just realized I had to use trophy on the HOOK!! Silly me.
