Another 3rd person game?

Will it have 1st person? Why make a voxel survival game in 3rd person? I don't get it.

This message translates to "Omg this isn't Minecraft? I don't get it. You should do X so that it's more like minecraft because obviously every voxel survival game needs to mimic that formula." Dodging, and combat in general most likely, would feel disgusting and out of place in first person for starters. That said, I'm sure it can be done, and idc either way if they take the time to implement it or not, I just wanted to poke fun at the fact that your post basically sums up to "NeED MORE mINeCrafT brrRRrrrr" xD

First person in minecraft works because the combat is about as simple and dumbed-down as it can get, because creating things is the meat of minecraft. This game is more akin to a survival RPG with souls-like combat. They'd have to use an absurd amount of camera stabilization just to keep people from puking all over their monitors while rolling during combat.

Ah yes, because having brain cells that still function REALLY sucks ^~^ And I have no ego, as I clearly stated I was joking and poking fun. I don't think this game would have attracted my attention if it wasn't a 3rd person crafting, building, survival game in the first place since most of my survival games are 1st person. So I am very happy for the change, because I have fallen headfirst in love with this game!

Why make it it first person? What do you mean 'another'. There's more first person than third person games out there.

Ideally, games have both 1st and 3rd person and allow you to swap between the two modes.

For me, I can't play games in first person for more than a minute, due to motion sickness. So I don't buy games that are first person only.

1st person would be cool. Maybe sometime.
But now, there is much more important work for the devs.

An interesting example for games, that "zoomed in" is How to Survive and it's sequel How to Survive Third Person Standalone.
