Okay the first boss is stupid

Lock all the tools behind teh first boss who can three shot you and needs what looks like 100+ hits to kill. AoE lightning, so back attacks don't work. Wow, now im mad. Why lock tools behind a boss this difficult at the START of the freakin game?

The deer boss is EXTREMELY easy to beat. You clearly just suck at this game.
You attacked him wholly unprepared, then he killed you and you decided throw your hands in the air and cry about it.

You can parry every attack he has, even the AoE lightning attacks with the basic shield...

You know what I found to be the best weapon for the Deer boss? Torches! I kill so many enemies that drop resin that I just make a torch while I run away and go back to whack the boss and see it run in flames.

So much burning. Torch is an amazing early-game weapon. Not enough love for the torch as a weapon.

LOVELY. and what is better I cant get to my corpse. ALL my items are unreachable, he agros from 2 football fields away. Just great.

You do realize that you should have collected and upgraded just about everything available to you before fighting him right? The boss is easy when you actually do what the game told you and get gear to prepare.

Use a round shield and spear for the first boss. When he attacks hold the rmb to block. Then go on for an attack. Do not run after the boss. Let him come to you. Make sure you have your rested buff and 3 food types active. Preferably, meat, neck tail and honey. If no honey, raspberries or mushrooms will do.

If in doubt watch a YouTube video.

You can easily handle this boss naked with a spear :/
Practice rolling, it's quite overpowered, it has a stupid amount of iframes.
