Fps drop/stutter fix with good PC?
Is there a good way to fix fps stuttering even if you have good PC?
I get stutters mostly when I run around in the world but if i stay on same
place it doesnt stutter much.
I can run the game on max settings however i put down shadow only.
Also is it normal with Good PC that you get these fps stutters
(Not only when game is saving.)

https://www.pcgamer.com/valheim-increase-fps-performance/

also if your fps snaps to half or a quarter your monitors refreshrate you need to use Fast vsync with 60fps cap

yup

3090 with an i9 10900k and microstutters ever 10-15 seconds while moving

people on here will gaslight you and say it runs "bUtTeRy SmOoTh" on their 950 ti's but in reality they're used to dog-sh!t performance so they don't mind

thats the problem with these mass appeal fly-by-night streamer EA games - they attract so many smooth brains who don't care about performance, just playing with their idiot friends

game stu-t-t-t-t-t-ters. end of story.

Shaurian my specs are= i5 8600k @ 5ghz. gtx 1070 Ti. 32 ddr4 3200mhz ram. Sata3 SSD
I get about 70-120 fps at max settings but as said it stutters quite much usually when exploring/running around in the world.
Sekiwan, yes it seems the "average gamer" does not recognize these stutters. i always notice the microstutters in some games as well. but Valheim has more stutters than usual...........

Very true. I remember playing World of Tonks years ago with a couple of friend and I had fps issues, apparently it was because of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ patch but a friend of mine said he didn't have any problems. Turned out he was playing with 20 fps and thought it was fine since he was used to it.

Basically, "werks on my machine" "buttery smooth" "fine performance" is all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Tell your fps or shut up.

I have a 3070 and 3600x OC to 4.4ghz.

70 fps on ultra is dumb as ♥♥♥♥ considering this game has worse graphics than most mobile games. Not to mention it drops to 30 fps when hosting a server of 2 or more

I like Valheim. the graphics are nice too. very fun, unique game. well made. Just need optimization for the fps. and better server system more like Minecraft so that you dont need the hoster online to play on the world. and ofc No cheats

Game has great graphics, people who think it looks like mobile games are just upset their potato was deep fried for too long

I have a ryzen 7 3700x / rtx 2080 Super,

Worse the game has gotten for me is like 60 fps, and it was on a friends world. no idea what was making the game lag in his base.

In my personal world I get lowest fps being like 90.

Only time I ever stutter is when the world saves.

I've done the "Fix" to the boot.config and exclusive fullscreen in launch options.

Interesting...

Works fine for me :)

Here's a screenshot of me in my other friends world. current fps in the scene is 80. if it helps you doubt it. I'm looking at the ocean.

Agreed. flat textures for tree leaves was jarring at first. but overall I like the style they're going for, though I wouldn't mind character models being just a little more... higher quality. Especially capes.

I will try the fix in boot.config and see how it goes

I don’t not believe you but this game doesn’t like most hardware.

Could you post a screenshot of the frametime graph from MSI afterburner ?
Misfit Mar 10, 2021 @ 3:03pm
it runs on unity, every game suffers from that.
not much you can do beside the config changes.
Unoptimized means the game will run better first on systems closer to the specs of the developers systems they tested on. Everything outside that will have to wait for optimization patch's. Even most systems running stable required tweaking.

Everyone has different trigger levels to notice stutters and frames | i see frame difference between 55 and 60 fps it haunts me. Micro stutters are not normal for valheim, I've had them twice and was able to fix them. There are quite a few things that can cause this you can google it. Easiest one to try first is make sure Hardware Gpu scheduling is turned off. I won't list the rest as they are numerous and some are complicated. GL

What temps are you running at? an 8600k boosting all cores to 5ghz can get pretty hot you may be thermal throttling.
