Respawning resources?
Just starting to farm copper and tin. Wondering if they respawn, and trees too. Having to walk farther and farther to find them.

Thanks.

nope, they don't respawn
you can plant trees tho (the beech, pine and fir) trees
for ore you can just go to other biome or world

the only renewable ore are "iron" and "black metal" since they drop from mobs
^ iron can drop, but also is found in sunken crypts, while black metal is mob-only

Pretty sure that’s not a thing. I have mining pits that are 200+ days older that haven’t respawned copper.
Maybe a server option?
I friend told me that. I dig all around the copper node first now, and then once I can see it all, I start collecting it. Ends up with a pit like I'm mining for diamonds.

What does iron drop off of? I only found it in crypts.

I've read a few other posts saying that players have had copper re-spawn. I don't think that's intended, but it does seem like it's occurring. I don't recall any of the nodes in my games coming back.

I haven't heard anything about tin respawning.

they drop from red slimes (it's rare mob)

you can also mine them from "veins" outside of crypts

I've seen people say that parts of their map have reset (AND losing stuff because of it.) If this happens, it wouldn't surprise me if it might also happen away from peoples bases, resetting other parts of the map vs actually respawning.

In all my time swamp mining, I've managed to get 2 longboats boats full of iron from crypt diving and around 2-3 pieces of iron from red slime hunting.

Outdoor mining is largely worthless. Swamps almost exclusively hover around water level. Underground iron nodes are basically underwater, good luck mining them.

Go crypt diving. Magical forces keep the crypts mostly dry, and the monsters are easy to crowd control. The resources are the highest and the dangers are lowest, so crypts are the place to be.

and you can place the campfires there
and you can sit at campfires for both resting and rested buffs
and if you take hammer and select raven throne (don't build) it gives +3 comfort :V combines with 1 from campfore and 2 from shelter it gives 6 comfort for longer rested buff :D
