How to Add Admins to a Valheim Dedicated Server?
You can either create and host your dedicated server either locally or in a remote location. You can also rent a server from a Valheim host provider if you’d like. To add admins to a server you will need to collect their Steam 64 IDs. You can find it in the log console once they log in to the server (use the F2 key). Using this Steam 64 IDs, here are the steps to add a player as admin to your Valheim Dedicated Server:

Collect the Steam 64 IDs of the player.
Find and open the file adminlist.txt in the Valheim server’s root directory.
You need to add every Steam 64 ID on its line in the text file.
Save & close the file, and then restart the server to grant them admin command access.
But if your Dedicated Server host is in a different location then:

Open server management panel
Select WebFTP and open adminlist.txt in valheim/.config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim/
Add every Steam 64 IDs on each line one below the other in the text file.
Save the file, and close the text file.
Restart the server to grant them admin command access.

As in you add their ID # to the adminlist.txt and they are not admins or you are not able to figure out their Steam ID number?

I added ID # to adminlist.txt like this

welp, for sure it's not yours ID ;D

are you sure you added it to correct file?
if server is on your current PC then you do it in file on your current PC
if server is on different PC then you do it in file on the different PC
if server is rented then contact support and ask them how to modify files on their PC

and it's only for dedicated server iirc
it doesn't add admin to non-dedicated server (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

The server on my PC, added in the following path,

C: \ Users \ (user) \ AppData \ LocalLow \ IronGate \ Valheim \

Inside the file I wrote like this.

this is my friend's ID and I deliberately changed it so as not to show my friend's personal data without his consent and great need

you did it exactly as the guy there


welp, since you are sure that you went to correct file the only guesses I have left are:
1) make sure the ID is 100% correct, when you press F2 then you see ID of other players, you can compare this one to the ID you typed into adminlist (ye I know this idea sounds dumb and you probably did this anyway)
2) is the server world's save in the worlds folder? (if not the something is wrong)
