Underwater structure on Swamp?

Found this[imgur.com] while exploring a swamp. Does it serve any purpose or it's just aesthetic? Couldn't find anything about it on the wiki.

If you mean the circular construction with spiral stairs it's just scenery. I fount one near the top of some mountains, too. I used it as a foundation for a stone building.

Just unlucky, if those spawn above waterlevel they can hold chests.
It doesn't serve any purpose at all to have it under water.

I've seen those, sometimes flooded and sometimes not. I think it's just another type of ruins, nothing special (besides being rare.)
