Why can't I enable cheats?

So after plowing 100+ hours in, I want to do some Minecraft-style creative mode stuff. I hit 'F5' to bring the console up and type in iamacheater.

Nothing.

No notification that I enabled the mode. Nada.

I CAN use the admin console commands - just not the cheat ones.

This in single-player (so on my local machine).

I have no idea what's going on other than the fact that my game ISN'T installed in the Steam default directory. While Steam is on C:, my games are installed into D:\Games\SteamLibrary.

Any help would be SUPER AWESOME :)

iamacheater is scam made by some people who wanted to prevent people from cheating :D


also keep in mind, on multiplayer only host can use cheat commands
soo they won't work on dedicated since there is no host
you need mod to cheat on multi

then hit esc - if you want to build without costs, press B after esc - you´ll get a notification in the upper left corner of the screen when "B" is enabled.

I use the thing all the time and didn't notice the discrepancy. lol good times. Once again my eyes/mind played a trick on me. Familiarity breeds contempt and all that.
