Trash Disposal Chest

I've really really love for some kind of bin that we can put stuff in that will eat whatever goes in it. On our server right now you can't go anywhere with out deer heads, pig heads and other similar trophies that have really not much use latter in game being dumped all over so people have room for stuff they actually want/need.

With some of the memory issues, keeping these in game seems disruptive to play while we clean out all the time of stuff we don't want to pick up anymore or trolling our friends by putting them on the ground then building stone floors over the top of them so the floor glitters....AND NEVER goes way until you pick up that floor segment and pick up whatever junk they ditched :)

I agree. There needs to be a way to dispose of objects. I started using a trash crypt where I would load up the chests in the crypt to dispose of junk.

What about fire? Most of the trash is some sort of flammable item, just chuck it into a bon fire.

I prefer building a chest and naming it "trash". After it's full, i backup my character, fill my character up and log out. Then replace my character with the backup and all the trash will be gone.

Also, you can make a trash disposal site where you throw all trash.
Just have it a bit outside of your base with no campfires or workbenches around and the items will despawn after a while.

You can also create a little platform over the ocean, put a portal over it and throw all trash in the ocean, it will make the trash despawn even faster.

A little pit outside of a workbench should suffice. Really anything outside their zones is good, itll despawn.

But yeah something like in Savage Lands they had a refuse pit you could toss stuff into and it would despawn. Thatd be spiffy.

Maybe you could dig a big hole and toss everything in. Then use a hoe to fill it.

We can also run it out to sea and ditch it, or take it to another server...But if I had a trash can, could be a lot better...Heck put a compost pit in the game we put these heads in it for growing plots faster lol...ANYTHING to make disposal of this junk easy

100% agree. I'm a slow player and do a lot of wandering around and I can't tell you how many houses I have already littered with chests containing extraneous crap. Like wtf am I gonna do with 60 deer trophies? (still new, maybe I need them all later?)

I've got a hole next to my house that I toss stuff in. It's outside the range of the workbench so eventually stuff I throw in despawns.

It would be great if in a future update (perhaps a cooking/farming update) they introduced a Compost Heap that you could build that you could put stuff you don't want anymore inside and it would decompose into fertilizer for your plants, or just be gone.

Stuff outside workbench/forge/blah blah range will despawn in a few days. If you want to make it despawn much quicker, throw it into the sea outside of crafting zones and it'll be gone in a day. I have a dock specifically for making "sacrifices" to the sea gods!

Mhm, we definitely need a way to get rid of all that trash that comes along our playtime.
For me it would make the most sense if we can put it just into a big firepit or something to burn it away to maybe get dust as a fertilizer for crops.

But who knows, maybe our lovely devs already have a plan for this?

to be honest im really surprised that we cant deconstruct things in a workbench or forge.
