Maybe running water and a microwave oven too?
Fire has a radius, figure out the radius. A hearth has a bigger radius, and the bonfire yet an even bigger radius. When you discover stone, the little campfire can be placed on the stone floor.

My home was on stilts, so I just put the fire on the ground underneath the bed and it reached, fire radius goes thru blocks/walls etc. House is about 3-4 meters off the ground since finding flat ground in this game is damn near impossible, and its to much of a pain in the arse to make it flat myself.
What annoys the hell out of me is how workbench needs to have a roof etc over it, its like.. why? Thats just making it clunky. Then again if it wasn't this way you could just plunk one down anywhere for repairs/crafting. Which I guess is the point.
What is next? needing chimneys to get rid of the smoke being a problem?
Spare me your fanboyism and discuss this topic like an adult instead of going "REEEEEE WHY DON'T YOU JUST BLINDLY LIKE THE GAME!!!"
