Seriously, that bumpy land problem... At least half the time the hoe won't smooth things out no matter how much I use it, and sometimes makes things bumpier than before.
Is this the secret to leveling? Time to test and see.
To properly level/slope you need a mining pick as well for this very reason (refill to desired level with the hoe). Having rock for small fills helps on sharp grades. Also, use of the lift function and position on cuts makes a huge difference.
Practice with a hoe on side cuts before using the paving option, to know where to place and keep your level or slope. This will save you a ton of stone wasted on crappy paving placement.
