Wrong Password - Endless Fail... So Fuqt.

Nothing works... Can see the server in the list... Server is started... Server set to Community...
This is a game generated server. Tried different passwords, some complex, some only using letters. Nothing fuqing works.

Dont use the Community just start Server. > It uses the same map seed as solo player. so select that seed and change password is below

This is so broke. My buddy is a Steam friend... Cannot see my server with Friends filter on Join Server tab. Major disappointment that it is so hard to play with friends.

Your the Host right?
Have your friend Start his server then at the top join game below> select your seed in the list
Ask him not use Community. Tick to use Use friend only.

The game is still in early EA. There seem to be no specific message when there is an update and the server hasn't updated yet because it never restarted with the new version.

Learned that the hard way on my private server. We were all locked out until the host guy came in and I told him the server wasn't working for us. But for him there was no problem and everything was working, he simply thought nobody was playing.

Have you tried just using direct connect? That's what we use to play. Haven't had a single issue with like 10 people.

Make sure the "start server" box is ticked otherwise your friend can't see your game.

1. What you mean by wrong password? There is NO wrong password when you create/start a server because you create the password and give it to your friends to join.
2. It seems that you are trying to JOIN a password protected server. Therfore you need the password of this server.
3. And because you are obviously NOT starting a server (see nr. 2) your friend can NOT see it in his list.

If your trying different passwords your already doing something hella wrong because either you or your friend should've set the password. Join friends tab works. But so does just using the normal steam overlay to join. Are you maybe set to invis on steam so your friend can't see you and that's causing issues?

I had to invite my friend through the Steam Friend list. Lame.
