Cauldron Recipes Not Appearing

I built a cauldron for the first time. It only gave me one recipe for Queen’s Jam. I broke the cauldron apart and rebuilt again. Same thing. Why aren’t the base recipes showing up?

For the recipes to show up you need to have found the ingrediens

And most recipes need a upgraded Cauldron (need swamp, Mountain, plains Stuff)
One easy recipe need for example Carrots

Same for the workbench, small tip if you can make nails, make nails.

You need pick ingredients first to have the new recipes , not just the cauldron ( and upgrades later )

and now... you have to have to have found ALL the ingredients once BEFORE the recipe appears, it seems.

For the Dark Forest recipes you need
Honey
Boar meat
Carrots
Musrooms (red)
Cooked Deer Meat
Blueberries
Raspberries
Neck Tail
Coal
Thistle
Yellow Mushroom
Dandelion

and no upgrade

That is the way it has always been.

After H&H they now have added an upgrade to the cooking station that locks out some items you used to be able to craft like sausages until you have turnips and can upgrade the cauldron.

Haven't got any serpents yet so not sure where that falls into the mix. I assume they require the upgrade too for serpent stew. <if not something else, not quite there yet post updates.

Serpent Meat and Stew is Mid-End Iron age

But Finding a Serpent can need enough time so that you can be allready in silver age if you ignore it

I have found (discovered) all items (except honey, never had it in my inventory) listed above for Level 1 cauldron with no upgrades. Do I have to have the items in my inventory at the time I select to use the cauldron to even see the recipe in the list?

It should be enough for every recipe/Blueprint to be unlocked if you have found all necessary ingredients.

If you play with others, you need to have these items in inventory, looking in a crate with this stuff is not enough

Strange. Then maybe it’s bugged? I have had all of those items in inventory before. I will try restarting the server a couple of times and rebuilding the cauldron to see if it’s fixed.

or just take all these things into your inventory at the same time.
Even if it is normally no must, you can at least be sure that you really have all stuff.
Specially the carrots are important

Dumb question, is your cauldron over a lit fire? It needs that before you can use it.

yes. I put down a campfire first and then the cauldron direly over it. The only recipe that is listed gray/inactive is Queen’s Jelly. Nothing else there whatsoever. Not even boar jerky.

Steps to troubleshoot this issue:
*Hold ingredients in your inventory
*Turn on the fire beneath your cauldron
*Build any cauldron accessories if you have them
*Have a roof but with proper ventilation to prevent smoke inhalation
If it don't work after all that, then you start worrying....

Boar jerky needs honey.
And most other recipes needs Carrots

i would also try validating your files. i had a chest that wouldn't open until i validated and reacquired a file.
