You don't need much flint so a trip or two picking flint should be enough for your entire playthrough. Avoid flint arrows, just use wood arrows. You want to save the feathers for much better arrows than flint.
Nope I haven't found any on my Black Forest map, I have like 50% of the shore charted out now and no flints.
If there should be flints sure I'll go look again.
Yeah I use flint for only the knife and upgrades and the tannin rack, and I'm missing one for the rack in my new base.
There is no way you can be that far away from a meadows biome. Trip along the coast will quickly give you a stack. You want to explore meadows anyway for honey and stuff.
Pretty much the closest meadows water spot from my second base is the full Eikthyr power run, picked that clean not too long ago, so the next one is way further.
I have a swamp type meadows area on the other side of my island.
They also spawn inland along rivers and creeks. I'm confused, starting out and just around the coast of starter place should have far more than enough to sort you out.
If your somehow on a very small starter continent i guess you should rush the boat and portals to get to more fertile lands.
Thing is I'm on the far left side of my island in deep Black Wood biome, and there just isn't water close to the edge where the Meadows biome starts on the left side, I have to run to the north edge for the nearest flint.
