Can't spawn Moder?

I have the 3 eggs for Moder's spawn, but there's only 2 slots for eggs so it's impossible to spawn him. Has this happened to anyone?

Could the altar be half-embedded in a rock that you can pick off, by any chance? I'd be curious too to see such glitched altar

Yes, it happens, dig it out. Ive also found buried eggs.
