Crafting Issues - workbench/forge

Anyone else experiencing issues with crafting items after obtaining the materials? I can see the items unlocked when the material is picked up on the top left of the screen but when I go to the forge or workbench the crafting items are not there at all not even grayed out.

-I have my forge at Level 4 and my Workbench at Level 5.
-Bonemass is the last boss I defeated.
-Created a test world with the same level crafting
-Created a test character and picked up required materials to unlock the crafting items lowest to highest on original world.

With all these qualifications and attempts I was still unable to see the crafting items. This all started to happen once I made it to the Swamp. I gathered the required material to make the DraugrFang (Guck, Ancient Bark, Deer Hide, and Silver). After realizing I wasn’t able to craft the item I just continued the game and ventured out to the Mountains. I was able to obtain the material required for the Wolf Cape (Wolf trophie, Wolf pelt, and Silver) and same experience unable to craft. So now I’m thinking any new weapons and armor will not truly unlock going forward so that’s unfortunate.

did you have the appropriate station upgrades placed, even though you've unlocked a recipe if the crafting station isn't upgraded to a certain level they won't show.

Yes I have the workbench at level 5 and from my understanding the Wolf Cape is a level 2 crafted item.

Yes I have the workbench at level 5 and from my understanding the Wolf Cape is a level 2 crafted item. After further testing I’ve also discovered that I am unable to upgrade my Iron Armor past level 3 even though my Forge is at Level 4. Strange.

I know at least for Iron armor you need a level 5 Forge to upgrade them to level 4. All items/upgrade show exactly what level they need.
Make sure with the bow you have Guck and not Ooze.

The iron armor was a mistake on my end sorry. Yes I have verified that the required material was in my inventory for both the Draugur Bow and the Wolf Fur Cape. This is unfortunate as I didn’t want to rely on using the devcommands to spawn items but I don’t think I have a choice now heh.

Are you at the correct upgraded forge/work bench? Have you tested dismantling them and their addons and placing them again?

I have never had such problem

But many people on forum do have such problems
They often mistake bars for ore (you need bars to unlock recipes, ores won't unlock anything)
Some people use mods that bug out recipes, it says unlocked while it wasn't unlocked (something with automatic chests/inventory don't remember what was it)
Or they simply mistake wood/core wood/fine wood for each other


sooo what are you missing? and screenshot that you really have all ingredients without a mistake?

Since no one is making the supporting "yes that happened to me" reply, I believe its an error on your end. A screenshot would help us help you.

Yes I am primarily focusing on the Wolf Fur Cape via the workbench at the moment. I have tried to dismantle the workbench and the added improvement tools and then adding them back again in my house, test worlds, and via a new test character all are the same. I’ve also attempted to spawn the item via devcommand and am still unable to see the item as a crafting option nor upgrade option. So strange!

Isn't the wolf cape via the forge and not the workbench?
I am still in swamps but looked into silver stuff. Anything that uses or uses forge.

all capes are in the workbench
including lox cape and linen cape

Sounds like mods and or cheats have gotten you in trouble here, it really doesn't make sense what you're saying.

Hmm well I’m not ashamed to admit if I cheated or not don’t get me wrong there. I primarily focused on playing the game without cheats.

When I first noticed the glitch I was working in the swamp which was the area you visit after defeating The Elder so I focused on gathering iron ore from the crypts in the swamps and also managed to find the tree that drops guck after hitting them with the pickaxe. After not being able to craft the Draugr Fang I moved forward and eventually crafted iron armor and weapons to defeat bonemass wasn’t easy but I did it.

If you thought to make "test characters" where you're obviously spawning in materials, I'm gonna go ahead and assume this is a result of you cheating elsewhere and forgetting a step. When in doubt, the problem is likely a result of your console usage or mod usage, and not the game itself.

Any devcommand testing came after the glitch nothing was done before. Test accounts were created after the glitch was discovered. I’m not really finding much help around the web so I’m really testing everything out. If the game I hosed then it’s hosed. I really just reached out to see if anyone was experiencing the same that’s all not to prove the game is faulty.

hmm just
1) input all the ingredients into inventory
2) open inventory
3) make screenshot
4) upload it and post link

I wouldn't be surprised if you have silver ore instead of silver bars ;d
Also keep in mind that new recipes don't appear at the bottom of crafting list, they can appear at the start or the middle of list too.
