also what do you use to crash your game?
some program or mod ;D?
Utter crap.
Dyson Sphere Program would be an example of an EA game that's exceptionally stable.
Valheim, on the other hand, is an example of an EA game that's exceptionally unstable.
MSI Afterburner is also know to crash Unity titles when they're in EA.
"No anti-virus" usually still means you have Windows Defender. And even if you think you've turned it off, it usually isn't actually fully turned off. Be sure to exclude the client, or use a reputable program and exclude it there.
when you start game, there is small button in left bottom corner, press it to see saves and logs (player.log is what you look for, and it resets each time you start game so look at it directly after crash)
if you go this way:
crash -> start game -> go to log
then there is backup of log next to log, you will have to open the backup one in such situation because "start game" created new log already
Really? Good to know.
Not that I use Citrox Workshop.
I play vanilla Valheim on a mid-range PC. Terraforming aside, I'm typically running at about 80 fps on maxed settings (capped to 60 fps as this appears to improve stability), so I'm reasonably sure I'm not taxing the PC too hard. I also play many other games, and crashes, while not unheard of, are relatively uncommon; to the extent that I'm surprised when they occur.
After the first hundred or so hard-locks in Valheim I actually started to worry that so many "ungraceful" exits might have repercussions for the general health/stability of my PC, and therefore decided to cut right back on playtime, until they clean Valheim up some at least.
Tweaking GPU settings helped a bit, but nowhere near enough.
Don't even try to convince me Valheim is stable; I literally cannot remember the last time a game crashed this frequently - takes me right back to the early '80s where I'd be trying not to move or breathe too hard while certain games loaded off tape.
I ought to point out that I didn't get a single crash until I built a two-storey spiral staircase; the crashes started during that process and persisted ever since. While it's impossible to say whether the crashes and building are connected, it will be interesting to see what happens when I eventually relocate to a fresh world.
I have tried to bring ragnarok to valheim world with mod :D
It literally destroyed every building/stone/tree/mob/etc in my render distance in split second~~
My computer froze... after *forgot amount of time* min it unfroze, everything was destroyed and laggy because of the enormous amount of items on the ground... but the game didn't crash
