Double your farming double your fun?
While I get that adding the (0.5sec) delay was more or less intended for Server-Desync, lag, and missclicking, this has practically doubled my farming time.

I farm around 150 Turnips/Carrots every few days. Soon I'll be farming Barley in the same amount.

Before the patch, I could use the Normal walk speed (Cantering) to plant my plants within the appropriate distance needed for a healthy crop.

Now after the patch, I have to press C to Walk, then I have to also now time the CD so that while walking I have the appropriate distance, because walking is too slow to perfectly match the new planting rate, which can cause the plants to be bunched up too closely.

Cantering is too fast and causes a gap great enough for another crop to fit inbetween the two placed crops.

Farming is now a daunting hassle.

Have you guys thought it was all too easy to farm carrot soup and turnips ? You could feed a warband with what you can farm solo. isn't it a bit too easy ?
I got a tiny farm, yet can field 10 carrot stews and 10 jam for the Elder fight, I had as much HP as the bloody boss, more as I could regen and he couldnt.
A bit too much, a bit too easy to farm 3414 units of produce in 43,12 secs ?
(that was random numbers, to exaggerate the numbers a bit :P)

I fought the Elder while I was still on a diet of meat, strawberries and blueberries. A cultivator was the stuff of dreams back then.

Since when was farming fun? ... it´s a tedious chore which can never be made fun regardless.

My farming is minimal, barley only, don´t really need anything else.

Funny, the delay has made my crops more structured. Added time is trivial (2 to 3 min)

Panicked when i read patch notes..
Its a giant nothing burger.

Planting 400 barly~

A lot of people were planting 4 crops per second before the patch, myself included. We just held down A or D then spammed LMB 4 times per second and there was enough space for crops to grow. Now farming takes twice as long.

yeah I mean I get that turnip soup is good but uh... 250? I think when I was in the iron age I maxed at 24 turnips in my plot and that was plenty.

My solution to efficient farming is to construct a framework that guides you perfectly, so you don't need to worry whether or not you're going in a straight line - you just automatically do

Also, whilst planting requires stamina, harvesting doesn't, so combine the two - plant 2 rows (up and back) using stamina, and then harvest 2 rows (up and back) regenerating stamina. This means you can constantly do something and don't have to wait for stamina to regen (you can even sprint whilst harvesting if you find you've got too much stamina)

This allows you to plant 250 AND harvest 250 in a little over 5 minutes - it's the most efficient method I can think of (other than mods)

They should just add more efficient farming methods. Like a better hoe that can till better yielding dirt. Or add some sort of fertilizer like 7 Days to Die had, improving with game stage.

Why are you farming so much?
Have you ever been the farmer who has to farm enough carrots and turnips to supply three additional players with enough soup/stew?
No, I play with people that carry their own weight
