eating simulator
anyone else think devs focus a little too much on food and cooking in these kinds of games?
I mean bruh spend more time eating then anything else lol -imagine if you had to eat this much irl.

you'd be so full that you couldn't move.
I demand an outhouse if I am supposed to eat this much.

you know just because every bushcraft video on youtube is some guy cooking bacon or steak over a fire..

My guy eats three meals a day which seems totally normal. Granted he does eat all three meals at the same time but hey, details.

To remain the size of a house I must eat this much IRL. Chops and steaks are so last year. Legs and shoulders are the in things.

Who eats a raspberry? It’s the whole punnet or nothing.

we have a grass growing simulator, a cooking simulator, a walking simulator... so eating simulator is just the next logical step.

But be aware what could be next...

No. With most foods you need to eat twice a day, which is totally realistic. With a couple of exceptions none of the food types are hard to get, and with a little thought and planning you can spend one day and have enough food prepared to last you a couple of weeks. It's not an issue, and the only change it could use is more recipes/food variety.

Now I’m panic eating cows legs at the sheer thought

Yes, the eating-amount is absolutly insane, think i never played a Game before where you have to constantly eat.

And to the People saying eating twice a Day is realistic..... its not when a Day is insane short.

Low tier food burns out quickly. High tier food lasts longer.

solution = calories btw

In this game, at least not eating won't *kill* you. In a LOT of games in the genre, you will actually die (or just not heal at all) if you're hungry. So it's actually a significant improvement, if you don't like the eating part of survival games?

Make a small hole, put a forge cooler in the hole, build small shack around the hole, you now got your self a nice ass outhouse

i took the fact you cant die if you don't eat as a negative.

this is why we see people complain when they die if not eating. because if you died of starvation you wouldn't have to explicitly tell the players to eat food for the bonus.

Try doing what your character does in a day first, then see how much you would eat. Competitive athletes eat up to 6000 calories a day, and the player character does arguably more than a competitive athlete.

At the same time there's no need to eat food at all as your character will never die of starvation. It's okay not to eat lox pie and serpent stew when you're fishing or tending to your garden.
