Q. How to introduce a friend to the game

Another friend is going to join our group tomorrow and I was wondering what would be the funnest way to break him into the game.

Should we start a brand new base away from the current main base so he gets to experience the start
Or
Throw a set of wolf gear on him and toss him at some squitos?

So our son and my brother both joined our server after we'd cleared boss 4.

They have less of a fun time of things with brutes spawning in the meadows at night and surtling attacks etc.

If you really want them to have a good experience, you may want to start a fresh server.

Show him the basics and go with him to find a location for a new base. Let him design it, build it, gather some of the resources, etc.

Build a bunch of iron gates in the spawn area so he's in jail when he joins the server. Can always lure a wolf or two inside it for extra trolling points.

skipping 3/4 of the game would be not fun for me. New server or let him solo a couple of weeks with intent to migrate over once he has say iron gear.

Best way is to either let him play solo for a while, or start over to play with him from the start, to skip the start is to make the game less fun, to make it boring... you play to earn what you get, skipping that and its just a grind to the end.

Take him to the black forest at night time with a pick and tell him to mine for copper.
