Chests on boats

Im totally fine with making a new base on every island i got to but since you cant transport metals via a portal is there a way to put chests on boats? i wouldnt even mind if it like effected the boats speed in some way as a trade off. I just wanted to know if there was a way to get things overseas faster

Boats have built-in inventory space (in case you didn't realise). Look for the hatch on deck.

And with mods you can raise the slots up to .... i mean 8x20

Yeah, the Karve has 4 slots, and a longboat more than that (I think 10?)

有一个办法，你新建一张地图。用的角色把等待运输的矿石拿到身上，然后下线登录新建的地图上，制作一个箱子，把矿石放到里面。然后你返回到老地图上，先把你的角色进入传送门到达你想去的位置，下线换到有矿石的地图，把矿石取回到角色身上。再上线就OK了

You can flip a cart over somehow and park it on a karve, too.

you can break a cart into 4x container boxes and kick those onto the boat.
these little chests are also good around the house in places a bigger chest won't fit.
I think if you totally empty them they may vanish, though, so keep a trash item in them if you don't want to have to do it again.

Maybe there are mods for that but you literally cannot TP ores or build without structural integrity limits in vanilla game and that video you watched that announced those things was posted on April 1st (April fools day) so great job believing it this long.

This may be a bit cheap to do but, your character and all its items can transfer between worlds on Valheim. Meaning you could get a bunch of metals on you in your main world, log out and load in a different world, put all the items you cant carry or cant take through a portal into a chest, then load back into your main world and go to the location you want, load back into the world where you put things in a chest and pick them up, then load back into your main world at the location you last logged out at. It's a bit of a tedious process and kinda an exploit but it works!
