The Cold Effect is an effect in Valheim.
General information
The cold effect is applied to a character most commonly at night.
It is counteracted by wearing warm clothes, such as the Wolf fur cape, Wolf armor chest, and Lox cape, by standing near objects that produce heat such as the Campfire, a working Smelter or a working Charcoal Kiln, or by consuming a Frost resistance mead.
From the Valheim Wiki. Your Wolf cape or chest should be protecting you from the cold effect unless you are wet.
I remember specifically having to ask a friend if he was cold when I was helping him recover his body from the black forest because I wasn't cold and couldn't quite tell if it was night. He said he was cold.
I guess I might not understand what the thread is about? It seems to do exactly what you say it doesn't.
Well, you'll still be wet.
